Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you now charging to make updates?

Almost 2 years ago we started building Content Management Websites (websites that customers can easily update themselves) as a way to give our customers the ability to easily update their own website and we lowered the price of our basic service to $14.95 per month. Since that time less than 5% of our customers are making their own updates and we can no longer afford to provide this service for free. We have also produced a series of training videos to assist our clients with basic website updates if they have a Content Management Website.

Are your prices going to be expensive?

We feel that our prices are very reasonable and fair. Most web designers charge a minimum of $55 - $75 (their hourly rate) for any changes they make to a website, regardless of how small. Our plan is to use “virtual contract labor” and college interns to handle our updates. This approach will allow us to maintain our low prices. Go to www.internetincubator.com to view our current rates.

I don’t see training videos supporting my type of website?

If you don’t see training videos that support your type of website (for example you have a real estate website) than please let us know and we’ll send you detailed instructions on how to update your website and/or produce a series of training videos.

Why are you requiring advanced payment before making updates, you use to send me a bill?

Most of our customers understand the importance of prompt payments and we appreciate that. But, we do have a small number of customers that carry a balance from month to month. We have “virtual contractors” and college interns handling the day-to-day maintenance of our customer websites and they want to be paid for their work. Therefore, we will only accept advanced payment with a credit card or from a PayPal account.

Can I upgrade my older website to a new Content Management Website, so that I can make my own changes and not pay you?

At this time we are not accepting new customers and are not building any additional websites. Later this year you may be able to upgrade into a Content Management website that you will be able to maintain, if we begin building new websites again. In the meantime, you will need to begin paying for us to continue to make updates to your website.

Does this new policy apply to all customers, even those receiving a volume discount or have multiple websites?
